Best current source of Information:

The book, "Santung Compound" by Langdon B. Gilkey, New York, Harper & Row, 1966. Long out of print but can sometimes be found on www.abebooks.com.

A disturbing story of some 2000 men, women and children, interned and supposedly cared for by the International Red Cross that was responsible for the operation of the camp. Camp was effectively run by inmates, not the Red Cross. Well written story of the camp. No rosters or adequate information to create a valid time line for the camp.
