A day prior to Veterans Day (Armistice Day)

E-Mail to Roger Mansell, Director, Center for Research, Allied POWS Under The Japanese

My Brother Paul passed away peacefully in his sleep at 12:15 AM today. Had he survived until Jan 10 he would have been 103, however I think he achieved one of his goals by making the Marine Corps Birthday if only by 15 minutes. A wonderful Brother who enjoyed life to the very end. We will miss his daily reports via e-mail. An inspiration to all the family with his total recall of events in the family dating back to 1910 when he arrived in Montana.
A wonderful man, a great Marine and a fantastic Brother no longer with us but will never be forgotten.

Semper Fi Paul, your brother "Bud"
